Sherry L Hopkins
Certified Professional Midwife in Las Vegas, Nevada
Hello There,
Welcome to Shy to Shine Midwifery and Wellness.

Shy to Shine is a holistic wellness and healing practice founded by Sherry Hopkins, a highly experienced midwife and healer. Sherry has been practicing as a midwife since 2008, walking alongside families with compassionate, personalized care. In 2006, she founded Well Rounded Momma, a community resource center in Las Vegas dedicated to supporting parents through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Over the years, Sherry expanded her expertise by completing two comprehensive herbalism courses and earning a 200-hour yoga teacher certification. She has also trained in Reiki, sound healing, chakra balancing, and Acutonics (tuning fork therapy), integrating these modalities into her practice.
At Shy to Shine, Sherry’s approach to healing is rooted in nurturing care, safety, inclusivity, and personal transformation. She creates a safe and welcoming space where individuals can step into their full power—whether through birth experiences, mindful movement, or energy work. Sherry believes that a midwife and healer’s role is not to guarantee specific outcomes, but rather to walk beside each person on their journey, offering unwavering support, presence, and guidance no matter where the path leads. This soulful, empowering philosophy lies at the heart of Shy to Shine’s mission to help clients transform from feeling shy or uncertain to truly shining in their lives.

Prenatal Care
Together, we will go over your complete medical history to create a personalized birth plan. We will also discuss pregnancy, birth, and postpartum topics at each visit. As your midwife, I provide regular prenatal appointments for you and your baby. I offer physical exams, a full range of lab work, testing, as well as referrals for outside services--such as ultrasounds.
Labor & Birth At Home
Midwives are experts in normal, natural childbirth but we are also trained in emergency response. This means we are experienced in the variations of normal birth and recognize the early signs of conditions that are not "normal." The application of this woman-centered model of care has been proven to reduce incidences of birth injuries, trauma, and cesarean sections.
Postpartum & Newborn Care
I provide immediate and follow-up postpartum care for 6-8 weeks. At each postpartum appointment, we discuss your healing process, parenting a newborn, and breastfeeding. I provide routine weight checks for your baby, hearing, and metabolic screenings. I fully support your right to make decisions regarding your newborn’s care.
